We are pleased to announce that we have secured an additional reciprocal agreement with Kirriemuir Golf Club. As with our other reciprocal arrangements the cost will be £3 (which can be spent in the clubhouse) and can be utilised 5 times per year. if you would like to book a time please contact their pro shop on 01575573317.

Junior Coaching // Club Golf // Adult Get into golf
After Registration night on Tuesday 18th April 2017 due to the high demand a decision was made to split coaching over two nights
On a Tuesday evening with the New starts commencing 6-7pm and the Stage 2 Juniors 7-8pm
On a Thursday evening 6-8pm The More advanced Juniors and the Adult Get into Golf section
£5 per night if you join after registration night, £3 for New Juniors to Golf.
If the allocated night for you is unsuitable then hopefully you will be fitted into the other night.

Please note that all Junior Golfers currently without a handicap have been allocated a CLUB handicap of 54, scores returned in the above competitions, either over 18 or 9 holes, will be used to adjust the above handicap as appropriate.

We are always in need of new coaches to coach the Juniors. The club will pay for you to complete a weekend course to allow you to coach the youngsters in the school and at the club. 4 names have been identified already, if you are interested please contact Geoff Sampson 07944 372598 and he will give you further details.
The summer camp again this year took place between Monday 20th July until Friday 24th July, 9.00 a.m to 1.00 p.m. daily is well under way being headed by PGA Professional Scott Gillespie supported by Thornton coaches Nancy Finnie, Derry McDermid, Derek Lee, Mike Walmsley, and Robert Taylor.

Summer Holiday Order of Merit
There is an 18 hole Order of Merit competition being played over the summer. Tee times are at 11am every Monday and Thursday for Juniors who are capable of playing 18 holes without supervision. These are handicap-counting competitions and can also be used as an opportunity to put three scores in for handicap.
